Mentorrach is Rachel Hicks and my journey began in 2014, working hands-on in general dentistry and orthodontics. These early years allowed me to build a solid foundation in dental care, which laid the groundwork for my transition into the teeth whitening and tooth gem industry.

Along the way, I ventured into dental sales, gaining a deeper understanding of the industry. This experience gave me valuable insight into what dental professionals and patients face when it comes to achieving the perfect bright smile.

In 2019, I started a small teeth whitening business out of my home, transforming a tiny office into a fully functional whitening studio. As demand grew, I opened U Whitening, the first commercial teeth whitening studio in Canada. I developed my own proprietary chairside whitening formulations and retail products in collaboration with a local dental lab, ensuring the highest quality results for my clients.

To expand further, I took the business mobile, creating a successful pop-up model where I provided professional teeth whitening services in medi-spas and dental offices across the region.

As 2025 approaches, I’m excited to announce that the second U Whitening location is already in the works, bringing even more opportunities for brighter smiles across Canada.

Feedback from U Whitening made it clear that many providers were looking for solutions to offer their clients, and they were amazed by the profit margins I was achieving with my whitening services. This sparked the realization that my product line could benefit not just my team, but also other teeth whitening professionals.

In 2022, I founded Fern Whitening Supplies to help empower teeth whitening professionals. The goal was simple: to provide access to advanced technologies and high-quality products that would help them grow a safe, effective, and profitable whitening business. Through Fern, we’re building a stronger, more sustainable teeth whitening industry, one professional at a time.
